I think Kraid's just upset he doesn't have to torture anyone. Poor guy...lizard...pirate...thing.

this reminds me of something that bugged me. The space pirates are insectoid, but their great leaders, Ridley and Kraid, are reptilian, and the mother brain seems to be structured like a mammal's. Whats up with that?

I think you mispelled "against" in the second pannel

@Angel85 As I understand it, the general's aren't actually space pirates, but other alien races that have impressed the pirates with their capabilities and have become mainstay's of their forces. In exchange, they get the best health plans and the lion's share of the profits.

At least Nack is brutally honest about it.

@Tatsurou:
Naw, I think the Space Pirates are so into gene splicing themselves that only the troopers and such are insectoid while the leaders, such as Kraid and Ridley, given of other animal types to both separate them from the fodder AND to signify they're overall superior power.

They just decided to pick up Mother Brain after destroying the Chozo on Zebes because they find her useful as well as her seemingly unprovoked hatred of Samus.
