All right, so the whole phazon thing was just the hook to get them working together on this planet. Anyhoo, I really have no idea how old Duo actually is, but even if someday Capcom decides to give up more insight into his back story, and we find out that Duo is far to young to have been here sixty-five billion years ago, I don’t find it too hard to believe that Duo did some time traveling at some point in his adventures.

...why are they on top on the ship?

Mainly because Duo is too larger to actually fit through the doorway, so the only way for the two of them to talk is for Samus to go outside.

bringing to mind, I know the game proportions were a bit off, but i doubt samus would be able to fit comfortably into her own ship

65 billion years, more than 4 times the current age of the universe...The only way he could come to that conclusion was if he assumed the radiation was caused by phason and then extrapolated the time of impact based on the half-life of Phason. If that went over your head, it means that Duo just proved that the source of evil radiation is definately NOT phason.

Timeline I think it's actually supposed to say 65 million, as in the time of the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Oops, yeah, you're right.
