I know someone already suggested this, though it seemed to have been discounted because it didn't make sense. Well, that's not wholly true either, the clues are there, you just have to know what you're looking for. It shall be explained soon.

that's sort of what I thought, but I get the feeling I don't quite understand the implications.

"I Human" should be "I am Human"

I see... Lavos has the ability to obtain and improve himself with the DNA, abilities and knowledges of every being on the planet, as every character (but Crono) said in the final battle of CT.
The X-parasites have the ability to merge with any being and absorb their DNA and body, becoming a genetic copy of it with all their abilities and knowledges.
Possibly, due to Lavos absorbing their DNA, the merge of two X-parasites made a connection to Lavos' mind itself, allowing him to mentally merge himself with them - like he did with the complete dragon of Chrono Cross(by the time he shows up, already being completelly took over, hence being renamed Time Devourer).

Of course, it's Ryan we are talking about, I may be completelly wrong.

I KNEW IT!!

Okay..I didn't really but now Lavos can walk about blend in. Much worse than having it be rather immobile.

Reply Prism (Guest), September 22nd, 2008, 11:41 pm

So the final villain or "last boss" is revealed as Lavos. Did not see that one coming.

Needless to say, this could get ugly...and the majority of our heroes are still lying around dying....crap, they're screwed.

ASG: We can't let her watch I, Robot.

Reply Sonow, September 24th, 2008, 10:02 pm

Lets hope she aint Michel Jackson either.

Having said that... how is the queen still concious? Granted, the kick woulda worn off, but the tranquliser bullet should've kicked in by now, and surely last for a while.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), September 25th, 2008, 12:01 am

Well strictly speaking there should be a limit to the Lavos controlled SA-X due to the simple fact that Lavos is unconscious or at least dormant at the moment.

Though considering that the exterior Lavos shell is really pretty much a biological spaceship It really gets hard to pin down where consciousness begins and ends in that thing.

Not to mention that the queen, AKA Schala here is also an X-parasite so fusion with Lavos is now more reasonable than ever. Of course the queen seems to have a rather strong personality and did not wish to simply become one with lavos (like Zeal in CT) but to do so maintaining control. So... who knows? I mean those who've beaten Chrono Cross obviously know what will eventually happen, seems to be quite soon too, but how it will happen and why it will happen is the major question right now.

Lots O' words there.

Sonow: we have seen that the X Parasite has some ways to manipulate biological hosts, why not their blood, endocrine and immune systems.

Reply Sonow, September 25th, 2008, 9:57 pm

nevertheless, a tranquilizer is a tranqulizer. Only logical means of manipulating somethin like that, is to eject it. And I saw no sweat, blood or tears. Urine or barf for that matter either.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), September 26th, 2008, 4:02 pm

@Sonow

Well one might be able to manipulate the genes to give the host a genetic immunity to the tranquilizer. It seems unreasonable to assume that a tranquilizer will work with all species, and a significant amount of DNA could be manipulated before signs of the change show up in appearance.

Reply Sonow, September 26th, 2008, 10:24 pm

I imagine a tranqulise is simply made to limit the oxygen and/or blood intake to the brain/nerves center, causeing severe drowsiness, and then... sleep. Immunity dun work. Only possability is perhaps issolation.
