It occurred to me that since the SA-X are all clones, how would they decide between assignments. One might assume that the senior clone gets first choice, but how do they decide if all available options seem enticing and one really doesn't outweigh the other.
I like how they chose to split up it's not quite the wisest use of resources.
I know numbers would be an issue normally, but Samus is suitless, Chrono's unconscious, and the space pirates even in hoards aren't enough to take down Samus so they really only need to send one off against the group. Nack on the other hand just got his hands on a Chozo battle suit and really is the much more dangerous one at the moment.
Even including Marle, Lucca, and Kraid (Played by Duo) under their current circumstances would have a tough time taking down a single SA-X.
I guess they just REALLY hate Samus. Though, the fact that there happen to only be three of them around is really surprising as well.
i agree with the guest, it probably isn't wise to send only one SA-X after Nack. Also that the SA-X army has apparently been whittled down to 3, Magus' final blast must've been stronger than I thought.
Not nececarily true. Nack only has the varia suit, that does not nececarily mean he has any of the weapons or equipment.
Not to mention he lacks the metroid DNA to protect himself against infection.
Maybe they should just send whoever's closest, which would even be slightly faster.
Hmn, where do they keep the straws?
Realistically speaking, the long term threat is in Samus, however she's severely weakened and immobilized in addition to being unable to defend herself, to be honest a single SA-X running with the speed booster would be enough to just plow through her and the pirates protecting her at the moment. Tactically speaking only one SA-X is necessary. While one might be enough to take down Nack there's a significant chance he'll at least survive even with the lack of the same weapons arsenal, considering he IS Nack after all. Besides being Nack, he's made sure to secure some of Samus's DNA before this whole situation occurred. Of course the SA-X don't know this and think that that a single one will be able to take him down by reforming if Nack would ever get it down to it's core without a shell.
Of course this is barring the possibility of Lavos waking up and killing everything. Been a while since he was brought up hasn't it?
Personally, I think that the Space Pirates had devised some method of fighting off the X parasites. Why else would they be mass-producing SA-X? As for how they managed to infect the space pirate ship, I'm going to explain that by saying that a space pirate must not have been careful. After all, a log entry in MP2:E says that at least one pirate is recovering from brain damage he got after almost being killed by a metroid he was using as target practice.
If the Pirates had a vaccine or cure, they would've used it on Ridley.
