Nack's not the type to overlook something like letting the witnesses live. Or at least, not a witness as dangerous as Samus.
oh fuck! wait does that mean hes gunna kill chrono too? if so im confuesed
Well, I was kinda expecting this so at least I'm not getting that murderous urge to strangle Nack this time...well, no more than usual, I mean.
Seeing how Samus can't exactly be killed off (unless Ryan has yet another joke about limbo and Zero cutting plot holes), something is either going to grab Nack's attention, we're going to find out just how reliable Space Pirate technology is or, we're going to find out that there's a failsafe of some kind that the Chozo put in place to prevent Samus from being shot by her own armor...no wait, if that were the case then the SA-X shouldn't have been able to kill shoot at her either. Well, so much for that idea.
OR there's someone else watching the scene. Who could be considered one of the witnesses in this case. Of course that doesn't mean he wouldn't still kill Samus.
Plus Crono, being unconscious, didn't technically witness anything, besides Nack stating that he was going to betray them when he got shot.
Also there's still Marle, Lucca, KraiDuo, and all the Space Pirates on their way to this place right now. Let's see, 18 strips since the last mention of them, each strip is 4 panels so that's a total of 72 panels. That seems like plenty of time for the reinforcements to arrive. Even with Kraid's tiny (proportionately) feet.
I can't believe this STILL boils down to money -_- I totally forgot that they were supposed to get payed for this little venture, of course, thats something that Nack would never forget.
What was he keeping them alive for in the first place?
Maybe he's joking?
He Chrono's fighting skills and Samus's DNA to be able to get to the powersuit without getting slaughtered or infested by the SA-X. Not to mention, due to the way that Ryan is playing Nack's untrustworthiness to the extreme, it's still quite possible that in some way he's making it seem like he's double crossing them, but in reality he's protecting them from some unseen threat. In which case, Ryan is messing with our minds, big time.
Personally, I'm in favor of the suit malfunctioning when Nack tries to shoot Samus with it. Either that, or the pirates instinctively mob Nack and club him into unconsciousness because he's wearing the suit.
He said he was going to use Chrono as a hostage so Samus would do what he says but Samus doesn't seem to have done anything useful since that point. Unless what Adam said was actually useful to Nack. It didn't seem like that's all Nack would want though.
Like Dou will belive him, the power beam will leve trace amounts of energy behind, that he will be able to sence and that will tell him what relly happend.
