Just because he's stealing her outfit, doesn't mean he's going to let her keep his.

Reply supercomputer276, March 24th, 2008, 9:02 pm

I feel for Nack on this matter. I feel really bare without my Cell Shades.

Reply monekop, March 25th, 2008, 8:02 am

I bet he did it for the hat and the bounty hunter thing was just a bonus

Reply Angel85, March 25th, 2008, 8:23 am

ha, I knew he was gonna threaten her for the hat at some point. I hope it didn't give Samus lice.

Reply noone (Guest), March 25th, 2008, 8:30 am

Why the Hell have the Chozo ghost not done something yet? I know that they would not let this slide. They would never trust Nack to have one of their suits. By the way why not have Samus just trigger the suits fallsaftys? She probly knows how to voice active them from the outside of the suit, even with Nack in it. Hell how's he even know how to USE the tech to began with? The only liveing person who real knows any thing is about it is SAMUS!

Reply Demented Kitsune (Guest), March 25th, 2008, 10:21 am

Ok, first of all the Chozo Ghosts gave up ALL connection to the physical world, the ones on Tallon IV were forced back to it by the phazon and were ALL driven violently insane and tried to kill her, the Chozo can't help her. Secondly, she's not the only living person to have any understanding of the powersuit, the Space Pirate scientists of some rudimentary understanding of it since they DID reverse engineer it's weapon systems. And to my knowledge the suit doesn't have ANY failsafes at all, and if it does I doubt they'd be voice activated otherwise anyone who knew the commands could use them AGAINST Samus.

Reply Prism (Guest), March 25th, 2008, 3:22 pm

Well, we have reached the point were I'm not going to be happy unless Nack dies by the end of this story line.

I, honestly, have had enough of watching him perform pointless betrayal after pointless betrayal and, it was funny at first but now, I really want that little bastard dead.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who will disagree with me on this point but, I don't care.

Further more, I wonder if it's going to turn out that the patch the pirates made was flawed and unstable. Wouldn't be the first time they charged in without thinking and made mistakes (like the Beam Troopers in the first Prime games being severely harmed by their own weapon types or the hideous mutations when they first started experimenting with Phazon) not to mention that it was probably a rush job.

Reply ASG., March 25th, 2008, 5:13 pm

He's a bastard, yes, but I don't really think that he deserves to die. He's much cooler than the comic book Nack.

Reply Dark-Chaos, March 25th, 2008, 8:38 pm

Well, thats certainly impresive. Ryan, did you make this sprite or find it? Because it's amazing.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 25th, 2008, 11:05 pm

Personally I can't see this not going horribly wrong for Nack, if there's one thing you can rely on with Space prate technology, it's that it is unreliable, dangerous, and has no concern with the life of it's user. While Nack may be several levels more powerful than he was, chances are that, unless he finds some method to counteract the eventual problems, Nack will abandon the suit. So while he may be the most powerful bounty hunter now, if Samus ever gets a Chozo suit again, she'll still be able to outstrip Nack in strength, speed, and munitions as her suit will always be better "suited" to her. However, Nack is still several levels more cunning than Samus...

You know, I just realized, Space Pirate technology is a lot like Windows, excluding horrible mutations and a heavy reliance on metroids of course.

I feel nude without jewlery, thats why I never wear any.

Reply Demented Kitsune (Guest), March 26th, 2008, 8:48 am

Heh, I forgot about their poor track record with new technology, they DID try to copy the morph ball function too, with disastrous results often resulting in the crushing deaths of the test subjects. And Vinom, what the HELL does that have to do with anything?!

Reply Dark Star (Guest), March 26th, 2008, 7:03 pm

Space Pirate Technology=Windows, eh? Let's see...

They both are quite unreliable

Their makers both want to take over the world (galaxy in the case of the space pirates)

They both have bugs galore.

Hmm, yeah, I can see the resemblance. So, would that make GF tech Apple?

Reply noone (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 8:35 am

Play the Zero mission. In it their is only one Chozo ghost who is not being driven insane by any phazon. It made Samue prove who she was, why whould they not do the same. Also why wouldn't the Chozo put in any failsafetys? It's not like their dum or any thing. Also the Spacr Pirate's understanding is limited to what they have seen Samus do with the tech, beound that they know nothing about it. Also as from voice actived failsafes, if they are all in Chozo the only one who would be able to speak the words late alone know the words themslef would be Samue. The thing about dead civilzations is no one know how they spoke. Look at the Mayans can any one flowintly speak that now a days?

Reply Demented Kitsune (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 9:17 am

In Zero Mission that isn't a Chozo Ghost, it's an automated guardian placed in their temple to GUARD the suit tech kept within, the Chozo ghosts completely cut themselves off from the material plane, in Prime the corruptive power of phazon could still reach them and dragged them back, slowly eating away their minds until they all becaome violent mindless specters.

Reply noone (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 11:22 am

Ohh... Just one thing. How can you tell if it was that? It LOOKS just like a Chozo ghost, (It is not 3d big deal!), but seeing how it was a 2d game Nintido whanted to make it a powerful seeming as the prime verison. Also they did not completely cut them selves off from the material plane. The twelve who were corrupted had not yet shead the material form, (The Chozo ghost are like Ancants from SG1!), till they had sealed most of it away. There would have been more of them other wise. You can't actuly kill them just stun. At wich point them go poof. When you go down in to the crater the first time the cinema shows all the Chozo ghosts(You fight the same ones' over and over.) Also the game never tells you what it was in Zero Mission so who to say it's not a Chozo ghost. The Ancants in SG1 are pritty much the same as Chozo ghost, (Hell the Chozo probbly tought them how to do that.), and they can come back when they feel like it. They just do not what to interfer with our devalopment, just when they NEED to. So it' not whater the Chozo ghost can, but whater they WILL. Also you have not said any thing about the last part of my last post, on why no one but Sammy real knows any thing about Chozo tech. I'm real liking this debat! You do have some good points, all addment.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 11:55 am

The Space Pirate tech I'm talking about is not only limited to their mockups of Samus's abilities, but their everyday stuff is full of weak points and problems that Samus can easily exploit, and I mean EASILY. Not to mention they tend to use ventilation in precisely the right size for Samus to morph ball through, even though they probably know the size she can morph to by now... All they have to do is reduce the size of these shafts to about 9 10ths of a foot or so and viola! Samus is left out in the cold!

Yeah so Space Pirate scientists and technicians... not too bright...

Plus the Zero mission thing seemed more like a hologram than a ghost to me. Considering this as a singular case exception it seems more likely that the thing in question was not a ghost.

And Dark Star, perhaps, but does that make Chozo tech Linux? Or is that not advanced enough? Hm...

Reply noone (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 1:02 pm

In order form the ventilation to work it has to be a spicific size. The pirate make the shafts smaller were they can now because of the said problem. However they need some lager ones to get adcite air cerulation in their ships/base, which means thoughs shafts will always be a weakness. It does not look like a ghost so much as a hologram, because it's on a handhald system which is much more limited in gafics than the GameCube. No Linux is not advance enough, hell the Ancaint tech from SG1 is not advanced enough, though it is close.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 27th, 2008, 8:51 pm

It's got nothing to do with it being 2-D.

Even 3-D what's the difference between how a ghost appears and how a hologram appears? The only reason we know for sure in Metroid Prime they were ghosts is the scan visor, no such thing existed in Metroid Zero mission so it's open to perspective, interpretation, and debate, though not necessarily in that order.

Though to be fair the Chozo ghosts did seem like ghosts even before I scanned them, however due to the flashing and lack of translucency of the thing in question from Metroid Zero mission, it seems to me it was a hologram formed around the ball bearing the image of Samus to appear as if it were pulling it around, or perhaps it actually WAS pulling it around and the Chozo made a solid object of light (still technically holographic).

This is not to say that the thing in question did not have spiritual power, the Chozo were masters of their art which included science and a more physical power of the mind and soul.

Yeah, Nack must REEEEEEEALLY like that hat. And for some reason I can easily imagine Sonic having his own power suit...

Reply mic (Guest), July 5th, 2009, 4:37 am

I feel bad for samus and duo, they can't seem to keep what's rightfully theirs. I mean battle armor/body are necessities...
