For those who guessed that Nack was actually after Samus's Power Suit, bravo. Of course, under normal circumstances he would be unable to make use of the power suit. But then again, Nack has never been one to work under normal circumstances.

Call me crazy, but I don't recall Samus ever getting an entire suit for an upgrade. I think that little orb isn't what Nack expects it to be.

Reply XSarustaX, March 17th, 2008, 8:47 pm

>_> If the reason why he can use the Power Suit is because he's wearing Samus's top, logic is broken.

Reply Dark-Chaos, March 17th, 2008, 9:12 pm

You're right, he's wearing part of the Zero Suit. The Power suite interfaces with Samus body through that.
...so he's had this planed since then? I thought he just wanted to strip her off.
WAIT, Ryans had this planned since then? I thought HE just wanted to have Samus stripped off :P

Reply Guest, March 17th, 2008, 11:23 pm

Samus was infused with chozo blood so she'd be able to use it though... I don't think Nack's physiology is compatible without similar modifications.

Reply Matt M. (Guest), March 18th, 2008, 1:11 am

@XSarustaX That isn't her Zero suit. Samus's Zero Suit is a full body suit, while if you check earlier strips, Samus has been wearing a plain top with shorts for the majority of the comic.

And in older metroid games, or games like fusion, if you are deffeated, the suit shatters, revealing blue bottoms and a blue top. If anything, the Zero suit would have been a very recent requirement to improve suit interface and offer some protection in case she ever needed to strip her power suit in an emergency situation.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 18th, 2008, 1:23 am

But he just shot Samus twice, all he needs to do is to collect the blood, and presto, Chozo infused blood!

This combined with piece of the zero suit may just be enough for purposes of reverse engineering. Also Nack's line in the first panel makes me thing that Samus's role in this play is not done yet. Even if it's not the zero suit (which is just a name developed for Samus's jumpsuit in Metroid Zero Mission, there's nothing specifically special about it) it likely has SOME interface with her power suit.

Heh, he might take ALL of her original remaining clothes just to make sure... I mean why else is Crono's unconscious body so conveniently placed?

So then RyanMC, how much of the plot here is your original idea and how much is prompted by the posts speculating on what's going to happen next? Cause, I mean you have a real opportunity to be lazy in some parts. Which I do not consider a bad choice in the least, I'm just curious.

Reply Corey, March 18th, 2008, 8:27 am

Yes, Unclever title, that will give him Chozo infused blood.... if his blood doesn't reject it and cause massive health problems or kill him.

Reply noone (Guest), March 18th, 2008, 10:01 am

It's not just her DNA that let's her use it. The Chozo would have touhgt of this and instaled a falsafety to keep it from working. If Nack dose try this the suit will scane he brian and his soul and know he's not Sammy. Yes the Chozo can tell that, how eles would you be aboul to fight the Chozo ghost, if not?

Reply Matt M. (Guest), March 18th, 2008, 10:50 am

I think that would only apply to her original power suit. It's unkown if she changed suits throughout the games(Metroid Fusion being the obvious exception), or if they were mostly just the same suit, but upgraded throught out. But that became void when Her ship was vaporized near the beginning of the comic, along with her last suit.

The only thing I could compare it to would be X's upgrades, which are kept as data until X comes for them. If that, indeed, is a suit made for Samus(or someone of the like) it could be stored as data, which could be reprogramed to accept Nack.

I just thoght of some thing the one time that Sammy lost a suit she had to go through a tril to get a new one. The Chozo ghost is not going to let Nack have it. Also the suit is not what makes her the best bounty hunter. It's what the Chozo tought her. One more thing the suit was made for Samus and only Samus, hows Nack going to fit in to it? It's to big for him to ware and the only one alive who Knows how to make the changes that is Samus! LOL! ^.^

Reply Angel85, March 18th, 2008, 3:55 pm

don't tell me ADAM just spilled the beans -_- Actually, the way this comic goes, I figure once Samus finally does equip her suit she'll end up having to use the Zero beam and end up without the suit again anyway.

Reply Matt M. (Guest), March 18th, 2008, 8:19 pm

I take it you have Brawl as well. the Zero Laser is an attack she can only use in brawl, which is non canon with her story line. The only time she ever displayed power even remotely close to the Zero Laser, her body was practically hemorrahging Phazon, and you know how dangerous that was. Since this Samus didn't have a Phazon generator, she doesn't have that kind of power, and if her Power Suit could charge enough energy to fire a Zero Laser, she'd probably lose her arm.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 19th, 2008, 1:15 am

Well, there's also the hyperbeam from Super Metroid, but that requires being overloaded with metroid energy, and that's difficult to do without a full blown metroid around.

Reply Dark Star (Guest), March 19th, 2008, 4:56 am

Actually, as far as we know, Nack just wants the suit to sell on the Black Market. He may not be stupid enough to try to use the suit on himself, but someone else might. Someone willing to pay very large sums of money for the suit. This could end up being another situation like in 2ES, where Nack has two customers who hate each other, and then ends up having to give up on a profit just to save his own skin, and ends up gaining Samus' trust again in the process.

Reply Dark-Chaos, March 19th, 2008, 12:02 pm

Matt M. what you said about the Zero suite being a new requirement has a flaw.
The only games the Zero suit appears in is the remake of 1 and a bunch of games set inbetween 1 and 2. So it's possable the smaller suite in the 'older' games is acturly a smaller more refined suite.
AS for the suites, she's only had 2. the original one from Metroid 1, the second one she got at the end of Metroid: Zero Mission (that suite was then later taken apart to form the fusion suite). Yes there's also the Luminoth suites and such, but they were infused into the powersuite like the Varia and Gravity upgrades.
As for the Zero Laser, since Zero Suites Samus's Final Smash IS from the games, Zero Laser could apply too (ZS-Samus's Final Smash is Crystal Flash, a move in Super Metroid that restores all power to the suite by depleting the ammo reserves from missiles, S-missiles and power bombs).

Damn Adam and his big mouth.

Reply Matt M. (Guest), March 19th, 2008, 8:29 pm

The Zero suit is also seen at the very beginning of Metroid prime: Corruption for a brief moment before she dawned her Power Suit as she was about to arrive onto the federation ship.

@Darkstar: Please note that Nack said "With it, I'll become the greatest bounty hunter in the entire galaxy." If he were intending to sell it, he wouldn't have used this line.

Reply Demented Kitsune (Guest), March 20th, 2008, 6:36 am

You can also see the Zero suit in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. She has ALWAYS had the Zero suit in the games, it is how the suit interfaces with her organic systems to enable proper functionality without also tearing her apart since the suit was originally designed for Chozo physiology and only modified to fit her.

Reply noone (Guest), March 20th, 2008, 8:29 am

How's Nack going to use it? Like Demented Kitsune said it' not designed for Nack's physiology, just Samus'

Reply ScipioTh (Guest), March 20th, 2008, 4:32 pm

This is a new suit, it never interfaced with Samus.

Reply Guest (Guest), March 20th, 2008, 8:24 pm

its possible that the X parasites assembled the armor module as bait, in which case it would be an exact copy of samus's (as that's the only template they would have) and may still be personalized for use by her or at least a convincing facsimile of her...

if not, since it came from a chozo statue, it's not too hard to believe that it's designed for use by someone with at least partial chozo physiology.

Reply Unclever title (Guest), March 21st, 2008, 12:49 pm

Regardless of direct access, all technology can be reverse engineered. It's likely impossible for Nack to use it directly (otherwise he'd be putting it on right now) but with the tools he has gathered he likely will be able to take the time and gain at least SOME functionality of the Chozo technology within the suit.

Really all he has to do is convince the suit that HE is Samus, in some way shape or form, and as we all know Nack IS an excellent liar...

Reply noone (Guest), March 21st, 2008, 2:48 pm

The Chozo make Samus take a test to get a new suit if she lose one. That means that a Chozo goust will problly show up and Nack's plan is screwed at that piont. Also how whould Adam know anything about Chozo tech? No one knows any thing about Chozo tech, (exsept Sammy), other than the mother brain and the Aloura units from Metroid Prime #3. Seeing as those are the only Chozo tech any one has reverse engineered, all the rest are to advansd. Nack is an excellent liar, but how do you lie to an asanded bing, how for all intens perpices is a fliping GOD!?! The Chozo ghosts would not lat Nack get away with this no,if, and, or buts, about it.
