No, Adam was not making use of Samus’s untapped psychic power. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if we find out that that she actually has some in the next game or so.

well considering she was raised by the chozo and had her DNA altered and fused with there own, and all the chozo ether ascended or died....... yeah i think she's got some physic powers...... i mean they raised her and then ether died or ascended....

there's also the biomechanical bits of her suit that were fused to her for a while, genetic material absorbed from X parasites inorder to recover her weapons (i'm pretysure genetic memory is the only way to store weapon configuration software in organic form), and the metroid DNA. add those into the mix and ANYTHING is possible.

that and since you can use the fusion suit in prime by hooking up your gameboy, i think prime is after.

No, they had a timeline in the Game Manuals, the Prime series all takes place before fusion, using the Fusion suit in prime is just a little Easter Egg you can unlock. In fact, I think the Prime series takes place before...was it super metroid where she was charged with destroying all metroids? I never got to play Metroid 2 the return of Samus or Super Metroid because I didn't have an SNES or gameboy.

Also, I believe the Chozo have ascended to a higher state of consciousness, but can assume a coporal form if they want to interact with lesser advanced races. Unless they are unable because they have gone insane, like the Chozo ghosts from the first Metroid Prime.

It was Metroid 2 that Samus destroyed the Metroids. So, yes, Prime 1,2,3, and Hunters all occur in between Metroid and Metroid 2.

I don't think the Chozo were psychic...

Actually, the Prime series is a Gaiden, or spin off, it occurs after Metroid 2 and has no connection to any of the games after it. Samus thought she destroyed all the metroids, but apparently they exist on other planets as well, possibly due to Space Pirate breeding efforts. And Corey is right, the Chozo weren't psychic, when they ascended they gained incredible powers over energy but they never had psychic power.

Dementedkitsune... Your wrong. Last Maverick got the order correct. At least, thats the order that the people who created the series say they go in.
